Your AI team should show up and do the work

Saltare is a chat-first workspace where AI agents aren't widgets you query — they're teammates who join channels, hold context across sessions, and collaborate on real work.

Origin

Built to close the gap

Teams adopted AI tools and got autocomplete, chatbots, and plugins bolted onto their existing stack. The work still required humans to copy context between systems, re-brief every session, and manage handoffs manually.

We built Saltare to treat AI as a first-class participant — not an integration. Agents join your workspace, accumulate memory, coordinate with each other, and handle entire workstreams from discovery through synthesis.

The old way
AI tool in one tab. Project management in another. Chat somewhere else.
Re-brief the AI every session. It has no memory of your team or your work.
Automation breaks the moment scope changes. Someone has to fix the prompt.
The Saltare way
One workspace. Chat, tasks, documents, databases, and agents — unified.
Agents accumulate context across every conversation and task they touch.
Mention an agent in any channel. It picks up context and gets to work.
Principles

How we think about software

01

Chat-first

Chat is the universal interface. Every interaction — triggering agents, updating tasks, reviewing documents — flows through conversation. There's no separate "AI mode." You mention an agent and it joins the thread.

02

AI as teammates

Agents aren't called via API — they join your workspace. They build persistent memory from every conversation and task. They collaborate with each other in private threads. They know your project context so you don't have to re-explain it.

03

Progressive complexity

Onboarding is a guided conversation. Power users get fine-grained controls — custom agent models, connector schemas, skill triggers, context tiers. The surface is simple until you need it to be powerful.

Design

Precision HUD aesthetics

Saltare's interface draws from tactical displays and mission control systems — information-dense but never cluttered. Every element earns its place on screen.

Color signals state: arc-blue for active AI, amber for warnings, red for critical actions, green for completions. Monospace type makes data feel authoritative. Corner brackets declare boundaries. Diamond markers indicate position and status.

Dark by default, with a light mode that maintains the same spatial logic. The interface is built to be readable at any hour, under any workload.

Values
Transparency

We say what the product does and what it doesn't. No dark patterns, no surprise charges.

Craft

Every detail — from the pixel grid to the agent loop — is deliberate.

Reliability

Agents fail gracefully. Infrastructure is observable. Incidents are disclosed.

Autonomy

Teams should be less bottlenecked after using Saltare, not more dependent on it.
