Understand plan tiers, feature limits, AI credits, and subscription management
Saltare offers four plan tiers designed to grow with your team. Each tier unlocks more features, higher limits, and additional AI capabilities.

When you try to use a gated feature on a lower plan, you'll see an upgrade prompt explaining which plan includes it.
AI Credits
AI credits are consumed when agents process requests. Each agent interaction — responding to @mentions, executing tools, running automations — uses credits based on the complexity and length of the request.
Credit Usage
- Simple questions use fewer credits
- Multi-step tool execution uses more credits
- Research tasks with web searches use the most credits
Monitoring Credits
Your current credit balance is visible in Settings > Billing. A credit_alert notification fires when credits are running low.
Credit Top-Ups
If you run out of credits before your billing cycle renews, you can purchase additional credits:
- Top-up: 2,500 credits per purchase
- Available from Settings > Billing
Credits reset with each billing cycle based on your plan tier.
Upgrading Your Plan
From Settings
- Navigate to Settings > Billing
- Click the plan you'd like to upgrade to
- You'll be redirected to Stripe's secure checkout
- Complete payment and your workspace is upgraded immediately
Free Trial
New workspaces get a 14-day free trial of paid plans. During the trial, you have full access to the plan's features. No credit card required to start.
Trial is only available for new workspaces — upgrading an existing paid plan does not include a trial.
Managing Your Subscription
Customer Portal
Click Manage Subscription in Settings > Billing to open the Stripe customer portal where you can:
- Update payment method
- Change billing address
- Download invoices
- Switch plans
- Cancel subscription
Viewing Invoices
Past invoices are listed in Settings > Billing. Each shows the amount, date, and payment status. Invoices are generated by Stripe and can be downloaded as PDFs.
Cancellation
When you cancel your subscription:
- Your workspace enters a 30-day grace period
- During the grace period, all features remain accessible
- After the grace period, your workspace downgrades to the Starter plan
- Data is preserved — you don't lose anything, but limits are enforced
To reactivate, simply subscribe to a paid plan again from Settings > Billing.
Choosing the Right Plan
Starter (Free)
Best for: individuals or very small teams exploring Saltare. You get 2 agents, basic features, and 500 AI credits to experiment.
Pro ($29/mo)
Best for: small teams that actively use AI agents. Unlocks unlimited members, voice calls, trigger skills, and 5,000 AI credits. This is the most popular plan.
Business ($99/mo)
Best for: growing teams with complex workflows. Adds automation skills, task pipelines, agent collaboration, webhooks, and 25,000 AI credits. Choose this if you're building multi-agent workflows.
Enterprise ($249/mo)
Best for: large organizations needing unlimited everything. Includes all features with no limits on agents, connectors, databases, or AI credits.
Tips
- Start on Starter — The free plan is fully functional for basic use. Upgrade when you hit limits.
- Watch your credits — Enable credit alert notifications to avoid running out mid-workflow
- Use the trial — The 14-day trial lets you test Pro or Business features before committing
- Annual billing — Contact us for annual pricing with discounted rates
