Bookmarks

Save and organize important messages, tasks, documents, and databases for quick access

3 min read · Beginner

Bookmarks let you save items for quick access later. You can bookmark messages, tasks, documents, and databases — anything you want to find again without searching.

What You Can Bookmark

Item Type How to Bookmark
Messages Hover over a message and click the bookmark icon
Tasks From the task context menu
Documents From the document context menu
Databases From the database context menu

Each item can only be bookmarked once per user — bookmarking the same item again has no effect.

Saving a Bookmark

Messages

Hover over any message to reveal the action bar. Click the bookmark icon to save it. This is useful for:
- Key decisions made in chat
- Important announcements
- Messages with links or resources you'll need later
- Agent responses you want to reference again

Tasks, Documents, and Databases

Right-click (or use the context menu) on any task, document, or database to find the bookmark option.

Adding Notes

Every bookmark can have an optional note — a short text reminder of why you saved it. Add a note when bookmarking or edit it later from the bookmarks view.

Notes help you remember context:
- "Decision about API versioning approach"
- "Q2 metrics to include in board deck"
- "Agent's competitor analysis — good template"

Browsing Bookmarks

Access your bookmarks from the sidebar by clicking Bookmarks or using Cmd+Shift+B (Ctrl+Shift+B).

Filtering by Type

The bookmarks view shows type counts at the top. Click a type to filter:
- All — Every bookmark
- Tasks — Only bookmarked tasks
- Documents — Only bookmarked documents
- Messages — Only bookmarked messages
- Databases — Only bookmarked databases

Organization

Bookmarks are sorted by most recently saved. The list shows the item title (or message preview), your note (if any), and when you saved it.

Removing Bookmarks

Single Removal

Click the remove button on any bookmark to delete it. The original item is not affected — only your bookmark is removed.

Bulk Removal

Select multiple bookmarks and use the bulk remove action to clean up several at once.

Automatic Cleanup

If a bookmarked item is deleted (e.g., a message is removed or a task is cancelled and purged), the bookmark is automatically cleaned up the next time you view your bookmarks.

Use Cases

Personal Dashboard

Bookmark your most-used databases, key documents, and active task groups to create a personal quick-access list.

Decision Log

Bookmark messages where important decisions were made. Add notes explaining the decision and its context. This creates a lightweight decision log without the overhead of a formal document.

Research Collection

When agents produce useful research, bookmark the key messages. Later, compile them into a document:

@Writer review my bookmarked messages from this week
and compile the research findings into a summary document

Meeting Prep

Before a meeting, bookmark relevant tasks, documents, and messages. During the meeting, open your bookmarks for quick reference.

Tips

  • Use notes liberally — A bookmark without context is easy to forget. A one-line note makes it useful months later.
  • Review periodically — Clear out bookmarks you no longer need to keep the list focused
  • Bookmark agent responses — Good agent outputs are worth saving as templates for future requests
  • Combine with search — Use the command palette to find items, then bookmark the ones you'll need again
